The University of Northern Colorado will be renovating and adding additional space to Butler Hancock Hall on the UNC Campus in Greeley. The University has chosen to use an Architectural and CM/GC Team for the renovation of Butler Hancock Hall. The team is working through program verification and headed into the schematic design phase of the project. It is expected the Building Commissioning Professional(s) (BCP) will work closely with the owner (UNC), the selected Architectural and CM/GC Team early in the design process while remaining independently contracted with UNC as an Owner's advocate. The role of this consultant is to help provide UNC, the Design Team and CM/GC Team with assistance in equipment specification, performance evaluation, life cycle costs, evaluation of long term maintenance issues, energy efficiency, equipment start-up and the overall coordination on the start-up and evaluation of specified equipment and rating of published efficiencies and yearly operating costs and the ability to see the bigger picture in a campus environment regarding all major infrastructure components.

INTERNAL AUDITOR

Responsibilities: Audit/review operational areas of the College for stewardship of financial resources, management of risk and compliance with policies and procedures, as well as established laws and regulations. Conduct special audits at the request of the Board of Trustees, President of the College or College Senior Management. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Evaluate plans and actions taken to correct reported conditions from previous internal and external audits. Conduct analytical evaluation of financial relationship of College with auxiliary services and other internal service organizations. Provide recommendations and reports as appropriate, especially regarding improvements to financial sustainability. Conduct financial evaluation of relationships between College and Foundation. Conduct financial analysis of relationship between College and Continuing Education Authority. Prepare written internal audit reviews on the results of external audit engagements, including recommendations for continuous improvements. Inform the College administration of emerging federal, state, and local financial issues related to higher education including, but not limited to, external funding, financial aid, student reenrollment calculations, internal controls, accounting standards, cost per student FTE, benchmarking analyses within Colorado and Mountain States. Provide analysis, based on researching data discrepancies and variances, forecasting, and reconciling internal accounts. Function as high level contributor in coordinating with in-house counsel to provide appropriate policy development, financial analysis, and reporting and/or provision of project direction to other accounting and financial services staff. Develop short/long range audit plans to achieve effective audit coverage of the Colleges activities, including coordination of all external audit needs of the College.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field and CPA certification. 5 years audit experience preferably in higher education.

Salary/Benefits: $48,600 minimum salary. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. JOB TITLE: Executive Director

REPORTS TO: Stampede Committee Chairman and follows the procedures of the Stampede as prescribed by the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

SUPERVISES: Office Staff (Assistant Director, Director of Sales, Director of Marketing, Executive Secretary, clerical staff and other office staff).

SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and management of the Greeley Independence Stampede. The Executive Director reports to the Chairman and works in conjunction with the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors in developing and managing the Stampede.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Board of Directors:

1. Develop Board agendas with the Chairman
2. Schedule and attend Board Meetings
3. Apprise the Board of the status of administration and management of the Greeley Stampede on a regular basis.
4. Communicate regularly with the Chairman as to the status and specific needs of the Stampede.
5. Promote and assist the Board of Directors in presenting information about the mission, goals activities and achievements of the Greeley Stampede.

Communications:

1. Act as the focal point for communications between the Stampede and external groups including but not limited to: National and local sponsors, Island Grove Park management, government entities and other local groups.
2. Coordinate with the Chairman transactions between the Stampede and its agents so there is consistency with the executed agreement(s) in cooperation with Committeemen assigned to the area.
3. Members of the Committee need to provide contracts and all other correspondences to the Executive Director.
4. Assure adherence to local, state and federal laws.
5. Continue and foster the working relationships with the other rodeo venues.

Committees:

1. Assist in coordinating specific projects with appropriate members of the Committee.

Fiscal Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the financial management of the Greeley Independence Stampede Inc., Island Grove Concessionaire Inc., and the Greeley Stampede Foundation.
2. Supervise and direct preparation of the annual operating budget and submit a proposed operating budget to the Board of Directors for consideration.
3. Once the Board of Directors adopts the final operating budget, the Executive Director is to work in conjunction with the Executive Committee in administering the budget.
4. Work in conjunction with the Executive Committee to establish controls to ensure that all areas are operating within their respective budgets.
5. Executive Director and Executive Committee are to review requests for amendments to the operating budget.
6. Make recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding requests for unforeseen and unbudgeted expenditures and make periodic reports on the expenditures of all areas of the event.
7. Supervise and direct preparation of long-range plans for acquiring, constructing, and improving park as instructed by the Board of Directors.


Public Relations:

1. Supervise all public relations plans and activities for the Stampede.
2. Supervise any materials being distributed to the public pertaining to the Stampede.
3. Supervise the working relationships with designees of the media
4. Maintain open, on-going communications with corporate executives.
5. Promote community involvement and coordinate linkage between interested citizens and organizations with appropriate resources.
6. Representation of the Greeley Stampede as warranted

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

1. Personnel Management
2. Other duties as assigned by the Chairman or Executive Committee.

Terms of Employment:

1. Minimum of one year. Exact terms to be determined by Executive Committee.
